How I Came to Provide Scents for Other Candlemakers Hi! Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Marsha Flowers and I have been making candles for 29+ years.....thirty in September 2021, but who's counting? I began making candles with my sister to help supplement my income. I really wanted to stay home with my kiddos and this seemed to fit the bill. This was 1993, and the world wide web wasn't around. We spent literally hours perfecting our fragrances, tinkering with wax and wicks until we found the perfect formulation. Today, we are known for our votives and currently have around 175 scents. Insane, I know.....but instead of collecting rescue animals, I went with fragrances. Well, it's a close second, anyway. I had a storefront and have franchised a couple times. The storefront was literally a full time job so I left that to sell exclusively online, travel, enjoy my family, all that stuff you can't really do when your small business has taken over your life. It's a balance folks, it really is. Presently I'm enjoying the life of a chandler, and have 150+ more fragrances, available online only! To see a complete list, visit 5B&Co. Candlemakers. Which brings me to my next progression....selling fragrance oils online. I have learned which scents sell and which ones don't, to leave all of the guesswork out of it for you! If you have questions about anything that concerns candle making, I am here to help. I am completely OVER the competition candlemakers (well, retailers in general) tend to have towards one another. If you have a question, ask me, I'll help you in as many ways I can. And if I don't know the answer, I will figure it out. As far as soap making is concerned, I have enlisted help from a very dear friend of mine to test my fragrances in soap. She has been making soaps for almost as long as I have been making candles. I'm sure that every one of my fragrances are fine for soap, except the cinnamon. And I look forward to her help as far as how my fragrances react in soap! If you're wondering about the name, my candle company is called 5B&Co. Candlemakers (Five "Blessings" aka children, nieces, and a nephew). Hence the name Little Bee. A little subsidiary of 5B&Co.
